In a relief to millions of consumers,chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda has directed officials of the food,civil supplies and consumer affairs not to link LPG connections with ration cards.
DEADLINE ENDS
The last date to submit LPG documents has ended.The department has made it clear that there will be no more deadline extension for consumers.
Department of food,civil supplies and consumer affairs additional director said it will take three to four days to finalize the list.The maximum number of uploads were on Friday and Saturday.We have received a lot of data and itll take another four days to scrutinize it.Only after that well get the actual number of illegal LPG connections in the state.
Those who have failed to submit documents will be issued a notice before LPG connections are suspended.
The department will take steps to suspend service to the following beneficiaries :
Cases wherein electricity meter RR numbers have not been furnished
Non-domestic electricity meter numbers are submitted
More than one ration card or LPG consumer number are linked to one EM-RR number and beneficiaries are the same.
The address in the ration card or domestic LPG connection and address in electricity meter RR number are in two different places and considered to have violated either clause 3 of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) Order 2000 or Clause 3 of Karnataka (Prevention of Unauthorised Possession of Ration Cards) Order 1977,or both.
