It’ s very good news for mobile consumers specially those who are struck in the hands of poor quality mobile operator willing swtich to good provider but holding their same number. Now good news is you can switch to any operator of your choice and retain your same number so one willnot misout their contacts and business !!!!
Now mobile oprators have to gear up to provide quality service or else loose their customers to their competitors….
TRAI has finally decided to roll-out number portability by 31st of August 2010 itself….
The telecom regulator on Thursday said mobile number portability (MNP) will be implemented nationwide from August 31, ruling out any further delay. The MNP is a service that allows a mobile user to change his operator while retaining the number. “There will be no further delay in the implementation of MNP,” Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Chairman J S Sarma said in New Delhi.
